LEHA SAFE SPACE

Our ‘safe space’ within our offices is open every week day. This drop-in space is free and open to all LBQ community members as a place to relax, access WiFi and find out about our services

VIOLENCE AND CRISIS RESPONSE

Our trained responders support community members when they have experienced violence, harassment or discrimination. We can support victims to report a crime, liaise with police, provide access to health and legal services, act as a mediator and connect victims with safe housing

MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT

Qualified LGBTQ-friendly psychologists provide group and one-to-one counselling for community members who have experienced discrimination or trauma.

PEER TO PEER HEALTH EDUCATION

Our trained peer educators work with the LBQ community to provide important health information which is relevant to individuals’ lived experiences

SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH SERVICES

Many LBQ women and non-binary people struggle to access appropriate health care. We provide sexual and reproductive health services that are trans and non-binary inclusive, including HIV testing and counselling, STI screening and treatment, and family planning. We also offer breast and cervical cancer screening

COMMODITIES DISTRIBUTION

We provide free access to condoms and lubricant, packaged to make them appealing for our community, and advice on safer sex practices.

REPRESENTING YOU IS OUR OBLIGATION

We work with relevant service providers in our region such as the local health board, healthcare providers, law enforcement and other NGOs to raise awareness of the issues faced by LBQ women and non-binary people, to offer support to deliver culturally competent services to LBQ people, and to share data on the health and violence issues faced by our community.
