Throughout #16daysofactivism against gender-based violence, we're speaking out against the violence that LBQ+ women and non-binary people experience.

High levels of anti-LGBTQ sentiment mean that for many members of our community it's not safe to be out. Coming out is a personal decision. There's no excuse for outing or threatening to out someone.

📢Today on 28th August we had an Mpox sensitisat

📢Today on 28th August we had an Mpox sensitisation for our staff and facilitators which was conducted our clinician Lena Warui and @wandiajos1 from 10am to 12pm at our safe space. They shared with us knowledge on how the virus manifests, how it is spread and how we can go about preventing it.

We captured a video of our Clinician sharing information on this which we will be sharing later in the week. One thing that was emphasised on is let us continue to wash our hands, observes safe sex protection and in the case you suspect you have symptoms associated with the virus, visit the nearest facility for assessment.

Our programs manager together with other feminist activists got to visit Jharkhand Mahila Uthan whose main mission is to reducing domestic violence, combating gender discrimination, campaigning against child abuse and marriages and promoting leadership, empowerment, livelihood development and protection of young girls and women. They have integrated sports, art and culture to implement their programs.
