LBQ (lesbian, bisexual and queer) individuals are a vibrant and resilient community, but they also face unique challenges.  LEHA’s data, spanning January 2023 to February 2024, offers insights to guide us towards a safer future.

The data reveals over 100 reported cases of violence, with a concerningly young average victim age of only 26. It also highlights opportunities for progress.  Nearly half of survivors know their abuser, suggesting the potential for community intervention and support systems.

But amidst these challenges, a beacon of hope exists! LEHA’s network boasts a remarkable 90% participation rate in sexual health screenings. This proactive approach to health demonstrates the community’s commitment to well-being.

LEHA champions change by offering vital resources.  From legal support for abuse victims to mental health services, they empower the LBQ community to thrive.

Join LEHA in building a future free from violence and fear. Together, we can create a world where the LBQ community can flourish.
